This is how you do it. Make up a character with it's pokemon and all of that RPish stuffs. Except it's different. I ask questions via PM so I can easily make the story. This is how it's going to work;
[Me:]Your going to get your first pokemon, what's your reaction?
You tell me your character's reaction and I'll work with that. Then... I'll just keep on Private Messaging you until I get all of the properties of the story. It's hard to explain, so here's more detail:
For example, if I wanted you to encounter a scyther. I will PM you like:
[Me:] A wild scyther appeared! What pokemon are you going to use?
As you select your pokemon, I won't tell you what moves the pokemon has used. I'll just say;
[Me:] Your pokemon got hurt by scyther's move! Switch or keep battling? If you are going to keep on battling, what move are you going to use?
Or something like that. If you have questions then just post it here.
So here's the template, quick and easy. You'll be travelling a made up region if you don't know.

Simple as that! It's a bit like your RPing but you just don't know that!

Name: Professor Nia Gender: Female Age: 24 Bio: Professor Nia is the local professor in the region that you live in. She is very calm, sweet and generous. She isn't all that famous like other professors, but she was a very important person in this region. Her love for pokemon was just admirable. She never quits until it's done. She's a very hard worker and barely has any time in her hands. You can have any pokemon but legendaries from her lab.
That will be the professor in the region.
