What is the advantage of the new slot mechanics?

Now there are more and more slot machines with unusual mechanics: cascading reels, mega reels, bonus levels. How much better are they really, or is it just a marketing ploy?

New slot mechanics are interesting, but not always better. Sometimes you want something unusual, and sometimes it's easier to go back to the classics and just spin the reels.

I've tried many different slot machines, and Leveling Up Together has slots with new mechanics cascading reels, mega reels, and bonus levels. They really make the game more interesting, but sometimes you just want classic slots with regular paylines. The new mechanics are more for variety, but in fact the main thing is that the machine should be gambling and give emotions.
